Give Up Indifference

It's oft forgotten more often than not
The common paradox
Inherent in our
Common place cause

It's hardly camouflaged
That it's far more optimum
To give than to receive
Yet we keep reaching with cupping palms up

We're at odds
Rather gain others acknowledgment nods
Carving wild tales
Like modern Scheherazades

At what cost? To what ends?
No regard to false facades
It's merely fluff to garner followers
Hypocrisy flaunt

God forbid we aren't in spotlights
Outright competition we exhibit
With anyone
Who gets within our jurisdiction

No position is worth resistance
To coherency consistent
With brotherhood, sisterhood
Wish we could give up our indifference.
