Allow Growth

Allow what is sown to grow
The fertile seeds to sprout
To sturdy trees flourishing
On the forest surface throughout

Shedding offspring on the ground
For chipsmunks and squirrels to prowl
And spread around
And burrow where the sun sheds down

Against pockets of mountain pine
White oak, striped maples
Climbing with quiet determination
The heights they are able

To find day light
In their wake make shelter for critters
Vertebrates, birds and insects
Catepillers hatch to flitter

In color, a subtle beauty
Becoming truly inviting
In every nook and cranny hiding
The canopy is so inviting

Let it strive.

Modesty

Why do we believe our ego so?
It sneaks in, reaches, seizing a deep hold
When we feel low and oh so vulnerable
To believe we are sheep concealed in wolves clothes

We're only deceiving ourselves
Our hell is our own making
That we create to keep at bay
From the traits we deem forsaking

A tall tale from a small frail
Part of us
That was once in arduous hardship
But honestly isn't the heart of us

We are love
Like artemis we must guard and protect
Our innocent marvelment
Before impressionable judgements scarred them

And hardened our skin like marble
What's wrong with being unremarkable
With open arms, in all that we go through
To remain modest is honorable.

Tilting At Windmills

We're still tilting at windmills
For the thrills it rekindles
Acting from will, attacking at will
The hilt reveals the willful

Without it victimhood
Fear materializes
This fear of deprivement
This us or them mindset

If not triumphant I'm nothing
I can't live without the gumption
The harvest is my bounty
Without I become stunted

A runt scrounging
While they exceed and outreach
Without me, I must release cowardice
Unsheath and joust steel

Mount my steed for honor,
Democracy and valor
Against hyprocrisy, can't you see
Pronounce, avow you serfs

Usurpers, I'm the rightful colonel
Your service falls in accordance
Divide and conquer over the course
Of history I'll be rejoiced in

With boisterous applause
Marble carvings hoisted along
The roads I've tarred
Paved with blood sweat and heart

When it's all said and done
And I've become omnipotent
Above all else
At all others hinderance

It may finally dawn on me
My own inferiority complex
Lead to encompassing conflict
And I'm left still uncontent

All I had to do was self-accept.

No Pretensions

Got to negate the case
To chase what I'm capable of
Whats attainable
Straining worst case scenario

Hysteria
Best case expectations
Is just a waste as well
Imagination does not straight foretell

I'll navigate the netscape
Gladly stake henceforth
Furthermore with contentment
More important than moving towards

Success or prevention
No pretending, no exceptions
No head held intention
Of excellence or less then

Just moving in the direction
Of reverence and ethics
Lament pretensions
Need no end to begin.

You’re The Balance

Nothing is forever
Impermanence is the only
Certainly doesn't serve to be
Immersed gripped in holding

It isn't worth it
There was never a time it was perfect
There surely won't be
Let your imperfections surface

You're doing nothing wrong
You haven't lost some charm
Some spotless quality
To be everything to everybody

As you shouldn't be
You are who you are
Flaunt it unguarded
In stark self homage

It connects us all
Whether we're aware of it or not
Subconscious, unconcious
Authentic embodiment bonds us

We all long to shout it
So don't doubt it or shroud it
Be proud with the gifts
You have to give boundless

It balances our assorted
Absorption distortion
Against majority proportion
Enforcement

What lay dormant before
You were contorted
With what others told you
Deemed more important

Your core knows for sure
That tingle in your pours
When you adoringly feel
Love for self be restored

Earnest and Honest

Penchant for pent up
Aggression and resentment
Hell bent on penitence
For offenses and transgressions

Against ones ends
A heavy debt, a dead load tolled
Over the shoulder bones
Holding it like the mythoic globe

Of vulnerability no ability to surpass
Atlas grasp
Passion and valiance alas
Do not reveal the path

Heeled in crap, so we don't take crap
Sad we've got it backwards
We only take it because
We actually just make it up

Theres actually no atlas task at hand
No mandatory command
Branded or demanded
It's our own stand-alone mandate

Cultivated from past shame
Conditions fabricated
Gradually from pleasure and pain
Dramatic intimidation

Placing self against status
Competition established
With differences and classes
That realistically just doesn't matter

Rather be free and modest
Than be the coolest or the smartest
Consumer of the products
That marginally boost our own regard

Or be the ruler of commerce and audience
All of that
Harness total dominance of laws
Like the magna carta offered

We're not honorable all days
In all ways
Caught up in small losses and gains
Not comparable to what others obtain

The sway of time will long wash away
Your made up doppelganger
But it can't knock reality
Of living earnestly and honestly always.

Life Within

What we're against
And take umbrage in
With offense and begrudging
Is just an encumberment

Who are we to pass judgment
Or pass the buck and the blame
Lay the burden
On scapegoats to graze

In our quest to acceptance
Oneness and wholeness
Love and devotion
With unconditional ends

We're mostly too busy
Proceeding to be critics
Living with the privilege
To size others up inch by inch

We cannot distinguish
Individuals equivalence to
What is or isn't
Intrinsically "you"

People are not
What we define them to be
Don't be blind to see
The entire life within each.

Resistance

Woefully
We keep self-defeating motives
We hold with shinobi grip
Cloaked emotions in motion

We focus so hard on goals
Without noticing control
Is in opposing conditioning
Conflicting of our inner needs

Contradictions we inflict on ourselves
Inner victimhood
From legitimate misgivings
We live with that we shouldn't

We develop misperceptions
Some resentments of ourselves
That we have no presence of
They just sit there and dwell

Until we meet them with resistance
Such resistance we've lived with
Our whole existence
We don't even recognize it's persistence

We must listen
To that inner child
That cry's and smiles wildly
Silently shying anxiety

It's just trying to help
It not knows why or how
Quietly thank them for their guidance
We'll work together now.

Carried Traits, Carried Away

You may have lost
Who you thought you were
Caught unsure, your sturdiness
Is a bit topsy turve,

What you have learned
Or more certainly unlearned
In concern to confirmed
Qualities preserved,

Worthy or worthless
You observe these personal
Attributes absolute
Firm and unflappable,

Having few adversaries
To the contrary
You've carried these traits
Like a cadbury egg you can't break

But the taste is so sweet
Once you treat
To the delicacy in you
You reveal ingredients to,

Your true being
Illusions subdued
Bravest deed you can do
Is reveal the incomplete you.

Imperfections

You love the things you love
For what they are
Theres no such thing as worth
No less no more

Your flaws most of all sparkle
Only your concepts regard them
As marginal
Partial to right or wrong

Your best qualities
Are these imperfections
It's our gift to the rest
If we could just express them

In essence, what connects us
Discovering together
Our pilgrimage
To loving transcendence

Like birds of the air
Drifting so gentle
Not against the wind
But with its trajection

We collide at odds
Such harsh, vitriol
Without honest awareness
That we're all in the same boat

Floating in the cosmos
We're all made of stars
Yet we can not revolve
Without another's orbit

So harness your form
Take course and shine
So bright we light up
The entire night sky
