Tilting At Windmills

We're still tilting at windmills
For the thrills it rekindles
Acting from will, attacking at will
The hilt reveals the willful

Without it victimhood
Fear materializes
This fear of deprivement
This us or them mindset

If not triumphant I'm nothing
I can't live without the gumption
The harvest is my bounty
Without I become stunted

A runt scrounging
While they exceed and outreach
Without me, I must release cowardice
Unsheath and joust steel

Mount my steed for honor,
Democracy and valor
Against hyprocrisy, can't you see
Pronounce, avow you serfs

Usurpers, I'm the rightful colonel
Your service falls in accordance
Divide and conquer over the course
Of history I'll be rejoiced in

With boisterous applause
Marble carvings hoisted along
The roads I've tarred
Paved with blood sweat and heart

When it's all said and done
And I've become omnipotent
Above all else
At all others hinderance

It may finally dawn on me
My own inferiority complex
Lead to encompassing conflict
And I'm left still uncontent

All I had to do was self-accept.
